I write about religion too

Religion was here before you and I were born and will still be here when we are dead and gone. It is not enough to say I have no  knowledge of God or I do not believe there is a  God when we live in an age when most people walk around with information in their pockets.

The first permanent Baptist Church was established in England about 1611 or 1612. The  Baptist Church had as one of its beliefs "Separation of church and state." Whether this was what the leaders of the Baptist Church had in mind or not the Baptist Church was in effect saying to the state "The priests should no longer consult God on behalf of the leaders of the state and  "The state should   no longer uses its forces of violence to enforce the doctrines of the church." What the church had in mind was that every man should worship God according to the dictates of his conscience. This was at a time when the Holy Scriptures was only available to the trained ecclesiastical.

The church take credit for the fact the religion did not disintegrate into anarchy and idolatory when in reality God had anticipated such a move and about the same time the King James Bible was published. This was a move to make the Bible available to the common people and it immediately became a best seller. The church continue to uphold freedom of religion as one its sacred beliefs but on the other had proclaim that the only way to heaven is through Jesus Christ.

My books The God Fighters and The God Alternatives are a layman's look at some of these issues and a look at what God really intended for man.
